Buck Heights
As printed in the AMGR Newsletter Oct/Dec 2006.
This is my own opinion and is intended as a guide only.
If your buck at 1 year old is 21” it is highly unlikely he will be A Grade 24” at 3years old
If your buck at 1 year old is 22” it is highly unlikely he will be B Grade 24” at 3years old
If your buck at 1 year old is 23” he will most likely be over height. Over 25” at 3years old

Height Guarantees
Be aware that when you purchase a kid registered miniature goat, particularly bucks, this animal could go over height.
Adult goats 3year old height verified rarely grow much more .
These 3year old height verified goats still do not guarantee a small offspring, as they can throw back to larger adults in their parentage.
Australian Miniature Goats are still in their early stages with breeders endeavoring to consistently produce small offspring.
If a breeder is so convinced they can consistently produce small stock they should have no concerns about giving you a height guarantee in writing.
